Remember to check the state-by-state list for businesses that also have physical stores.

Disclaimer… I haven’t purchased every ingredient/accessory from the businesses listed on this page, and personally haven’t had time to research them all, so it’s in your best interest to ask questions if you feel as though you need more info. It might depend on where you are on your DIY journey as to whether you’re concerned with origin, sourcing/harvesting practices, additional additives (I’m thinking aloe vera gel here, always sneaky ingredients hiding here) in the raw ingredients you’re purchasing. Read through each company’s ingredients listings to make sure they meet your needs.

Some of the companies listed have both regular and certified organic versions available. Personally, when given the choice, I opt for certified organic (note that some ingredients cannot be certified as organic). You need to make a decision based on your priorities and budget.

Sometimes your local supermarket will sell various DIY ingredients – simply type ‘name of supermarket’ and ‘name of ingredient’ into a search engine to quickly check.
