We all have a story. This is mine.
The nutshell version: I’m a former Health and PE teacher turned natural living advocate, passionate about helping others live simply, sustainably, and toxin-aware. What began as a personal journey to create safer products for my family has grown into an integrative health coaching practice that supports holistic wellbeing, metabolic health, and everyday balance.
If you’ve got more time for the bigger picture, read on: I’ve always been passionate about health, the human body, and the planet. In my past life, I was a Health and Physical Education teacher – a job I absolutely loved. I taught straight out of uni until my daughter, Charlotte, arrived in 2009, followed by Lucas in 2011.
When the kids were 4 and 2, I felt ready to return to work – but my spark for mainstream teaching had gone. I couldn’t go back to a role that deserved true passion. My love for health and education, however, was stronger than ever.
This next chapter of my life unfolded quickly. One day, I simply noticed the overwhelming number of ingredients in my cleaning and body care products (and there were a lot of them!). There wasn’t a single lightbulb moment, just a quiet realisation that I needed to know what was really in the products we used daily. And once I started investigating, I couldn’t stop.
Once I learned more about an ingredient in a product I was using around my family, I couldn’t unlearn it, And I certainly couldn’t, in good conscience, keep using it.
At first, I was shocked, then furious – how could these ingredients even be allowed? But soon, frustration turned into action. We were already mindful of what we ate (thank you, Thermomix!), so I figured, how hard could it be to make better choices for what goes on our bodies?
That question led to a deep dive into research, recipe testing, and discovery. Creativity runs in my family, and experimenting with natural alternatives quickly became fun, empowering, and educational. The effort was worth it – we needed fewer products, spent less, and felt more in control.
Encouraged by friends, I started a Facebook page to share what I was learning. It turns out, I wasn’t alone in wanting a simpler, more natural lifestyle – and things grew from there.
When I create DIY recipes today, simplicity is still key. I want people to feel confident making toxin-free swaps that work. It’s taken years of research and trial and error (I once turned my kids blue – true story! 😂), but the results are always rewarding.
What began as a personal mission became something of a community movement. I’m teaching others, and learning from them, that we don’t need to rely on store-bought, fragrance-filled products with questionable ingredients. DIY and natural living is growing every day, and I’m here for it.
Taking my message further
I’ve been fortunate to share inspiration and knowledge across some incredible platforms, and I’m genuinely grateful for every opportunity to make a positive impact on a wider scale. I’m always open to new collaborations, so if you have an idea, segment, or article in mind, I’d love to hear from you.

What now?
As I update this in September 2025, I’m more excited than ever about where this journey is heading.
I’ve always loved learning, especially about health and longevity. In recent years, I’ve added certifications in Zone Healing, Neurofeedback, and Reiki, and I’m now diving deep into metabolic health – exploring how nutrition, stress, sleep, and movement shape our energy and resilience.
In 2026, I’ll be launching my Integrative Health Coaching Program, designed to support others through a holistic approach that blends nutrition, metabolic health, toxin awareness, mindset, and lifestyle balance.
I’m so glad you’re here. I hope what you find, whether it is a recipe, a resource, or a spark of inspiration, helps you live a more natural, mindful, and balanced life.
☀️ Sending sunny vibes and good health your way.
