Have you ever used a lip scrub? It is definitely a ‘first-world thing’ but if you can, try it. It is divine! This recipe for choc mint lip scrub is good enough to eat, and the best part, SAFE enough to eat. Gotta love that!

I’ve called this a lip scrub, but don’t let that stop you from using it ALL over your body, especially in areas you shave or wax to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Makes: 160 g Prep time: < 5 min.

• 80 g brown sugar
• 20 g raw sugar
• 50 g carrier oil (fractionated coconut oil and sweet almond oil are popular choices)
• 10 g cacao powder/cocoa
• 5-10 drops of essential oils

My favourite essential oil in this recipe is peppermint, but don’t be limited by my suggestions. Use oils that fit your budget, or those that you already have in your collection. Read here for more information.
